As always, while the school was closed over the summer holidays, Mr Rapson and a team of contractors were hard at work on a range of projects—both large and small—to ensure we continue to improve and maintain our school environment.
Our biggest project has been the new kitchen, which we are delighted to announce is now fully operational. We would like to thank our community for their patience during the renovation, which took a considerable amount of time. We believe this state-of-the-art facility will not only benefit our caterers and, most importantly, our children, but will also help the school to save energy.
We have also refreshed the school office foyer with a new wall wrap featuring our school values and installed a history timeline in the hall. This visual display celebrates all the topics taught from Reception through to Year 6 and will help extend learning beyond the classroom.
In addition, as part of our NetZero Accelerator Programme Pathfinder, most of the school’s existing lights—indoors and outdoors—have now been replaced with energy-efficient LED lamps, supporting further energy savings. And of course, no summer would be complete without the regular deep clean and a fresh coat of paint where needed!
