WPCA End of Year report back
18th July 2025
The WPCA Raised Over £23,500 – What a Year!
As we reach the end of the summer term, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what has been a busy, fun-filled, and rewarding year for the WPCA. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised over £23,500 — an amazing total that will directly benefit children across the school.
Here are just some of the ways this money has made a difference:
-
We funded tablets and protective cases, one for every class, helping to enhance learning across the curriculum.
-
A brand-new PA system was purchased, which made its debut at the summer fair and discos — a huge boost for school events.
-
A stage backdrop was created for the Knights Banquet and Page & Squire assemblies, supporting the school’s new Knighthood Scheme.
-
We recently agreed to fund high-vis waistcoats for use on school trips, helping to keep pupils safe and visible.
Events Throughout the Year
-
In the autumn term, Reception pupils enjoyed a special movie night, watching The Gruffalo’s Child and Stickman with a slice of pizza in hand.
-
Leading up to Christmas, we sold tea towels and coasters in EYFS and KS1, as well as Christmas cards across the school.
-
Our popular Christmas decoration competition returned, and the discos for KS1 and KS2 were a hit — especially the photo booth and props!
-
Families were also able to buy discounted tickets to see Cinderella at the Hexagon. For World Book Day, we launched our own Whiteknights
-
Wonder Bars, with golden tickets hidden inside — and a visit from Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa made it even more magical.
-
On Earth Day, children created beautiful keepsake artwork.
-
Our Summer Fair was the biggest yet, raising an incredible £4,000! Children enjoyed favourite stalls and games, a visit from Brambles Animal
-
Encounters, a performance from the school choir, and even a guest appearance from Princess Anna.
-
On Inset Day, families snapped up discounted LEGOLAND tickets, making for a fun day out for all.
-
In response to changes with our provider, Bags2School, we now have a new textile recycling initiative with a clothing bank on-site (behind the hall). You can donate wearable clothing, paired shoes and household textiles.
-
Our second-hand uniform shop has also gone from strength to strength, raising over £400 and fulfilling more than 60 orders this year. Thank you for helping us offer affordable uniform options and reduce waste.
