This term, Year 5 have been diving into the fascinating world of Space. Pupils explored what makes up the solar system, how humans came to understand that the Earth is round, and how the planet’s rotation creates night and day. As part of their home learning, pupils designed and built their own models of the solar system — with some exceptional creations demonstrating their creativity and ingenuity.
Our visit to the Winchester Science Centre and Museum was a real highlight. The day was packed with hands-on activities and opportunities to deepen our learning, including rocket-making, exploring the interactive space exhibition, and enjoying an immersive show in the planetarium.
